A Great Yarmouth-based charity will be able to offer extra fresh items of food to the people it supports thanks to the generosity of a local firm.
Hughes Electrical has donated a large fridge/freezer which is set to make a big difference at The East Anglian Anchorage Trust’s offices on Church Plain.
“We are extremely grateful to Hughes Electrical for supplying the fridge/freezer,” said Lucy Headland from the East Anglian Anchorage Trust.
“This generous donation means we will be able to accept surplus food from a local supermarket, store it safely and provide lunch, support and advice to the young people in our care.”
Justin Kuttschreuter from Hughes Electrical added: “As a company we have been operating in Great Yarmouth for decades and like to support the local community whenever we can.
“Lucy and the rest of the team at the charity do such a great job and we are all delighted to hear the fridge/freezer will make a real difference to how they help young people get a better future in life.”
