Hisense UK has announced the appointment of Alistair Orr as its new marketing manager. Alistair will focus on delivering the brand’s KPIs for its sponsorship of the 2018 World Cup in Russia and partnership with Aston Villa.
Alistair joins the Leeds HQ from Audio-Technica, where he was EMEA marketing manager for its consumer products and responsible for establishing awareness of the Japanese brand in the UK. Alistair has also previously worked for LG as part of the consumer marketing team during the early stages of UHD and OLED technology hitting the UK market.
One of Alistair’s immediate roles will be to maximise Hisense UK’s partnership with Aston Villa, which sees the brand become the club’s official technology partner, driving Hisense’s brand presence in the UK and particularly in the West Midlands.
Alistair said: “For me, this market is all about achieving the right mix between tech and affordability. Hisense offers consumers a great deal of quality for their money, meaning a greater proportion of consumers can purchase TVs with the latest innovations.
“This was one of the main reasons I felt such a strong affinity with the brand and why I ultimately decided to join the team. Our job now is to raise awareness of the brand and its offering with the ultimate goal of increasing consumer confidence within the UK market.”
