Hoover Candy Group recognised at Red Dot Awards

The European version of the UK’s Hoover Vision Oven, the Candy Watch & Touch, has received a Red Dot Award for Product Design, the manufacturer has revealed.

The unique oven design boasts a 19-inch fully-interactive touch screen door and just one button – the on/off switch.

Hoover Candy UK built-in appliances product manager Daniel Dewey commented: “We are incredibly proud to have won a Red Dot Award.

“It is a huge success for us and a real testimony to the time and effort we’ve put in to developing our range of connected appliances – a journey we embarked on several years ago when we launched the UK’s first fully connected range of WiFi enabled appliances, Hoover Wizard.”

Hoover Vision’s touch screen door allows users to access selected websites, watch video cooking tutorials and generate, save and amend favourite recipes, creating a personal library of cooking programmes for the user.

The A-rated model also features an in-cavity camera, which allows users to keep an eye on the cooking via an app on their smartphone or tablet and boasts a 80-litre capacity and 10 separate cooking functions.

Daniel added: “At Candy Group, developing unique and innovative products, such as the UK’s Hoover Vision, is in our DNA. We consistently strive to offer real technological innovations that offer meaningful solutions and the Red Dot Award in Product Design recognises our ongoing commitment to this.”
