Consumer electronics manufacturer Humax has announced the appointment of James Sandison to its UK team as national accounts manager, reporting to sales director Rob Peacock.
James (pictured) has joined Humax UK from Turbosat International Ltd, the organisation behind the Icecrypt satellite receiver brand.
In his twelve years with Turbosat, James was pivotal in driving growth in the installation market through the Digital Switchover, Humax says. Within two years, James was promoted to UK sales manager, where he managed key distribution accounts and retailers, as well as being responsible for defining a successful strategy to increase brand awareness for Icecrypt. In 2009, James advanced to the role of UK sales director, where he oversaw sales strategy across all UK accounts.
At Humax, James will be responsible for reinforcing the company’s relationship with leading national accounts such as Dixons Carphone, John Lewis and Argos.
Humax UK sales director Rob Peacock commented: “We are extremely pleased to welcome James into our team. His outstanding experience in the consumer electronics industry, and specifically his expertise in the set-top box category, will bring a host of benefits to both our retail partners and our UK operations. We look forward to supporting him in developing our business significantly in the national retail sector.”
