Consumer electronics specialist for cables, TV/AV supports and accessories for home cinema, Hi-Fi and personal computing Techlink has announced that it is to have a new management team at its helm.
After starting the company 40 years ago, owner Ralph Allen is to step down from an active part in the running of the business.
Neil Drain, well known in the industry as the former MD of Vivanco and Lawton, has a long association with Techlink.
Paul Russell joined the company 12 years ago in his current position as head of product. Previously employed as a design engineer within the motorsport industry, Paul is now responsible for the design and technical specification of every product across all categories of Techlink’s business.
In addition to handling Techlink’s long term manufacturing partners and overseeing all product development from concept through to production, Paul also heads up the multidisciplinary in-house design team covering product, web, graphic and packaging design.
The third member of the new management trio, David D’Rozario, has been with Techlink for more than 20 years. He started his career with the organisation as warehouse and logistics manager, a position he held for six years before becoming head of operations. In this capacity he is responsible for the supply chain within Techlink overseeing the shipping and importation of all goods, including transportation to almost 30 countries across the world.
Ralph Allen commented: “Techlink’s longevity and success in the industry is very much due to our ability to change and adapt product to meet market needs, on account of our very talented in-house design team.
“We also seek to provide retailers what they need, sometimes before they even realise they need it themselves! Mindful of the pressures on space in store, we have recently redesigned our popular Panorama TV stand to be available in two finishes per unit, allowing the retailer to have less stock with double the finish options. And, it’s a move which has been hugely successful.”
